Winter Solace Productions was started in 2008 in the United States. Despite what others have stated for their own purposes, as an institution Winter Solace Productions seeks to promote freedom of thought, free speech and freedom of expression within music. WSP does not operate in a public space and is motivated by spiritual beliefs rather than monetary goals or any other purposes. We willingly operate outside of a egocentric “underground” black metal scene on the fringes of esotericism as an alternative to the modern norms of both commercial and non-commercial black metal. The effects of our polarizing content is not lost and it is suggested that persons whom have some issues with those things simply not purchase from or interact with Winter Solace Productions.
As Winter Solace has worked with over hundreds of bands, distributors and other partners from all over the world it is not possible to have a unified ideological consensus and thus it is also necessary to state that the opinions/statements/viewpoints/political positions of all persons affiliated with Winter Solace Productions are separate from the institution as the institution is separated from them.
